Additional information
The B12 transmitters are loop-powered gas detectors that transmit a 4-20 mA linear signal depending on the gas concentration. The B12 fixed gas detector is a two-wire transmitter for monitoring hazardous gases in ambient air. This device has been designed to monitor gas concentration in any type of industrial plant environment.
B12 transmitters are available for monitoring hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Each transmitter is manufactured for this specific gas with two different measuring ranges: 0-10 to 100 ppm or 0-200 to 2000 ppm.
The H2O2 detectors are normally supplied with the sensor coupled to the enclosure. However, the unit can be supplied with a remote sensor for special applications. This separated sensor can be located up to 25 feet from the transmitter.
The B12 transmitter enclosure is made of NEMA 4X polystyrene that suits in virtually any industrial environment. An optional LCD display provides local indication of gas concentration on the front of the enclosure.
A special sensor design is available as an option that allows gas sensors to be inserted into a duct or pipe through a special adapter. This system is designed to perform gas detection in confined areas with easy removal of the sensor for servicing or maintenance. This special mounting fitting provides a special calibration mean to calibrate the sensor without complete removal from the duct.
The B12 transmitters uses electrochemical sensors to detect presence of hydrogen peroxide. These sensors are designed for use in ambient air or in ventilation ducts at temperatures of 0° to 50° C and a relative humidity between 20 and 98%.
The B12 gas detector is also available in an explosion-proof version. The version is housed in a galvanized steel enclosure rated for Class 1, Div. 1, Groups B, C, & D locations. However, the LCD display is not available on this explosion-proof version.
